HCR Community Ambassadors - New Orleans

HCR Community Ambassadors in New Orleans support weekly fitness classes, garden clubs, community events, and direct outreach efforts that connect more than 1,100 neighbors with monthly calendars and resource announcements. Currently focused on Tremé and the Lower Garden District, Ambassadors help keep residents informed, strengthen the sustainability of HCR-coordinated programs, and encourage community members to take an active role in the ongoing progress of their neighborhoods.

About the HCR Community Ambassador Program
HCR Community Ambassadors are trusted resident leaders who strengthen community connections and support resident well-being. Acting as advocates and liaisons, they welcome new residents, assist neighbors, and expand the reach of resident-focused programs and services.

Ambassadors play a key role in identifying community needs—such as food security, safety concerns, and access to resources—while promoting engagement and conducting informal check-ins with vulnerable residents.
