Thanks to the Palmisano Foundation and HRI Communities’ scholarship I can cover the extra cost associated with my major. The additional resources allow me to stay focused and perfect my craft, while also helping me financially. I cannot wait to one day bring my experiences to the community and support future students the same way as the Palmisano Foundation and HRI Communities scholarship has done for me. The scholarship is truly a blessing, and I am forever grateful.

Owning my own home now feels like a real possibility because of the home-buying seminars HCR hosted at Bienville Basin. Through the program, I was introduced to a reliable real estate agent, connected with a financial coach, and received valuable information about home-buyer programs I can qualify for. It may take a year or two before I purchase a home, but what once felt impossible now feels within reach of my family!

Over the past six months, I’ve been on a wellness journey after learning I have several chronic conditions that can be improved through healthier choices. A friend gave me a bike four months ago, and it became my favorite daily exercise. When it was stolen, HCR quickly connected me with a private donor who replaced both the bike and a lock within a week. I’m deeply grateful for their generosity and HCR’s support with this connection and kindness from a stranger.
