Renette Cook

Renette Cook is a seasoned property management professional with over 16 years of extensive experience in affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, Public Housing (PH), HOME, Project-Based Vouchers (PBV), Section 8, and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH). Her career reflects a deep commitment to regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and team leadership across complex, mission-driven housing initiatives.

Before joining HRI Management, Renette served as the Director of Property Management at SBP, where she played a pivotal role in ensuring full compliance with all program requirements. In this leadership capacity, she collaborated closely with the executive team and served as the organization’s subject matter expert in property management, providing critical strategic direction and oversight across a diverse project portfolio.

Previously, Renette excelled as a Multisite Manager at Columbia Residential, where she led successful lease-ups and was frequently called upon to train staff in affordable housing compliance practices. Her expertise and strategic mindset consistently translated into improved property performance and operational excellence.

Renette holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and maintains industry-recognized certifications, including Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP).

As HRI Management’s portfolio continues to expand—now encompassing nearly 60 properties and over 5,000 units—Renette brings valuable experience, leadership, and compliance expertise to support and strengthen the organization’s dynamic operations team.
