HRI Hospitality Commemorates Topping Out of New Caption by Hyatt Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN. (February 8, 2024): HRI Hospitality (“HRIH”), with its local partner CB Ragland Company, announces the construction “topping out” of its latest hotel project, Caption by Hyatt Nashville. Located in the bustling Gulch neighborhood and just steps away from popular Nashville destinations including Lower Broadway, SoBro and the entertainment district, the 210-room dynamic hotel is scheduled to open in early 2025.

“This topping out is a major milestone for Caption by Hyatt Nashville, showcasing our dedication to delivering exceptional, high quality lifestyle hospitality in Nashville’s Gulch District,” says Michael Coolidge, Chief Investment and Development Officer of HRI Hospitality. “With strong partners like C.B. Ragland Company and Peachtree Hotel Group, we look forward to unveiling this 12-story hotel, blending vibrant and intentional design meant to be truly of the community – not just in it – setting a new standard for lifestyle hotels in the heart of Music City.”

Caption by Hyatt Nashville is co-developed by HRI Hospitality and C.B. Ragland, and upon completion, the hotel will be operated by HRI Lodging. Hastings Architecture, LLC serves as the architectural design firm, with Studio 11 Design leading the hotel’s interior design and J.E. Dunn Construction Company serving as the project’s general contractor. The hotel’s ownership group consists of HRIH, CB Ragland, Peachtree Hotel Group and two local family offices.

The forthcoming hotel will feature Nashville-inspired décor and colorful murals throughout, in addition to 2,200 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, a mobile-first check-in experience, fitness center, and welcoming culinary common space at the heart of the hotel and signature to the Caption by Hyatt brand, Talk Shop. This multi-functional food and beverage experience invites guests to connect with eachother and the destination, serves as a lively welcome area, all-day lounge and workspace, coffee shop, grab-and-go artisanal market and bar featuring American cuisine influenced by Nashville culture.

The project also includes a 7,000 square foot restaurant space for lease and a 150-stall parking garage that will service the hotel and neighboring office buildings. Guests at the elevated property will have direct access to the city’s best retail shops, restaurants, bars and live entertainment.

“This is an exciting moment for Hyatt, HRI Hospitality and CB Ragland, with whom we have a long-standing, strong relationship,” said Jim Tierney, senior vice president, development and owner relations, Hyatt. “We’re grateful to collaborate with both to continue growing their Hyatt portfolio with Caption by Hyatt Nashville, which will be grounded in a commitment to caring for people and places. We look forward to bringing the Caption by Hyatt brand to Nashville and helping transform how people travel, connect and interact with one another and the places around them.”
