Project Description & Location
HRI Properties, LLC is developing this project for Historic Restoration, Incorporated. This project includes a group of architecturally significant commercial buildings constructed between 1885 and 1929 along W. Capitol Street in Jackson, Mississippi. A project of the Mississippi Home Corporation, the adaptive reuse creation of the Capitol Art Lofts will be a significant rehabilitation of a collection of historic properties. The project will be converted into 31 affordable residential units of artist housing, community areas and art gallery/studio space. In addition to a leasing preference for artists, the project also will provide a preference for medical industry workers. In addition to the art studios and gallery space, other amenities include a business center and fitness center.
The development is located across the street from the successful King Edward/Standard Life Mixed-Use Project, owned by HRI Properties, and will further the revitalization of the western side of Downtown Jackson, Mississippi.
