HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
This factory, built for the “Consumer’s Biscuit
Co.” was in its time a state of the art bakery. Located in New
Orleans’ Warehouse District, the Bakery’s new central atrium is
defined by a series of angular bay windows which look to the west
for afternoon sunshine. The ovens have been crafted into six unique
apartments. Open from the living room, the view upward includes the
beautiful vaulted ceiling of the oven, 20 feet above. The
apartments were converted into luxury condominiums in 2005.
Amenities include a pool, deck, and fitness
center.
