Experience

Steve Nance is the Vice President – Investments for HRI Properties (HRI), a premier national real estate company specializing in large-scale urban development of hotels, apartments and other commercial uses, including adaptive re-use of historic properties.  Mr. Nance is responsible for HRI’s acquisition and repositioning of operating hotel properties and also is involved in hotel development opportunities.

Since joining HRI in 2008, Mr. Nance has completed hotel acquisitions, repositioning, dispositions and refinancing totaling over $100 million.  HRI has formed partnerships in the lodging space with Lubert-Adler, Carey Watermark Investors and Canyon Capital Realty Advisors to fulfill its mission of Revitalizing Cities by Creating Diverse, Vibrant and Sustainable Communities.

Prior to joining HRI, Mr. Nance spent 15 years in commercial banking with J.P. Morgan Chase and Hibernia National Bank, focusing on hospitality, real estate, financial services and energy service companies.  

Mr. Nance received an MBA in 1993 from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Land Management from Louisiana State University in 1986.  Mr. Nance is a past board member of the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center.
