HISTORY/OVERVIEW:

River Garden Historic Apartments is the renovation of five remaining building from the former St. Thomas Housing Development, located in the River Garden community of the Lower Garden District, into affordable hoomes.  Historic detail was preserved witht he restoration of the buildings' brick facades and the re-creation of ironwork and courtyard landscaping.  The buildings' interior was gutted and new units were construced with updated safety systems, entral air conditioning and off-street parking.
