The living environment is very much like what you would expect from a major metropolitan area. The amenities are top notch and the living space is dynamite.

Moving here was one of the best decisions I've made. In a smaller city like Jackson, there aren't many places you can find that will give you the true big city feel--but SL is one of them! The staff is amazingly wonderful and remarkably helpful. They're always ready with a smile. The flat itself is beautiful. There are a few design flaws that have already been mentioned--but there are easy work arounds and honestly, to me they add character. I'm one of the lucky tenants who has a balcony unit and the views of downtown Jackson are STUNNING! I'd recommend this to anyone who prefers apartment living.

Standard Life is a great place to live. The residents I have met are nice, great amenities, and the BEST management staff with which I have ever dealt. If ever I have a problem, and there has not been anything major, the problem gets fixed no matter what the priority in 24 hours or less. THAT is great service. If the management team can help you they will; all you have to do is ask.

I really like where I live. I do think it is a little bit pricey, for what is included. I think internet would be a nice touch if it was included. The staff is friendly and I really like the security officers that patrol. Thanks - Michael P.S. Why do we not get a discount @ BODEGA??????

Convenient.

To me personally as a single young man, this is the best place to live in Jackson. For a couple, it might also be great. Some pros: The management team is fabulous, as they call themselves! I got brand new great apartment that comparable to luxury apartments I’ve seen in Manhattan, Chicago or Philadelphia, for about half the price. The building is secure and safe, and should be safer than any house, since nobody can get in the building but residents, and the gated parking is provided for $75 per month. I don't have to deal with house maintenance, crime and pests (lizards and roaches). A new grocery store called “Bodega” has recently opened in the same building. It has great menu and basic grocery items that you may need at anytime. Some confirmed that this is the only grocery store in downtown! A florist will open soon. The basic cable (with Direct TV) is great. If you have any shipment or online order, somebody from the management team will sign it and they will email you. Some cons: sometimes you will smell strange things in your apartment, such as Indian food that you never cooked or old water pipes smell. I guess ventilation isn’t that great, but a high performance AC filter will take care of it. For the city of Jackson, the price is a bit expensive. As some conservative people will keep telling you, what you pay for this rental will “go away” since you will never own the place. However, with buying a house, you can also lose a lot of money, and you may end up paying a lot for maintenance, security bills, water, lawn, and others! With Standard Life, everything is included but electricity. The name of the street you will be living in “ROACH ST”, so you will tell people I live in Roach street. Hopefully this is not a biggie for you! Expect some dogs in the building, and if your neighbor’s dog is angry, this might be an issue.

Overall, I love the place. The best apartment I have ever had. However, some of the decisions made regarding spacing don't make sense (very minor details in the grand scheme of the place). For example, the parking spaces are too close together, the light fixtures are so close to the ceiling that they can not be replaced when lightbulbs are changed to high efficiency light bulbs (which are a slight bit larger than standard bulbs), and the door from the parking garage opens toward the parking lot rather than away from it (as such you have to walk around the door to go inside it which becomes a problem if you have packages).
