The Complex is the heart of the redevelopment of 155 acres of the Naval Support Activity, New Orleans known as The Federal City Project. The first phase of the retail complex consists of approximately 33,000 square feet of retail space and 1,000 parking spaces. The purpose of the complex is to provide retail amenities to the anchor tenants, as well as the community, and a mix of retail office parking.

Federal City is a high-profile project on the leading edge of large-scale development in post-Katrina New Orleans. It is an integral part of the rebuilding of the City and will have a large economic impact upon the City and the region.
