HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
In 1997, HRI was awarded the
Multifamily rehabilitation project award for the entire country for
the renovation of this 19th Century mill building located in the
Warehouse District of New Orleans. Built of heavy timber and
masonry, the property features a 20,000 squarefoot interior
courtyard, a renovated water tower, and a state of the art exercise
facility. The Cotton Mill offers 8,000 square feet commercial
space. There are seventeen luxury condominiums on the roof of the
building which sold for an average price of $300,000 or $180 per
square foot.
