Brett
Forshag Vice President,

Brett, a native of New Orleans, joins HRI Lodging
with twenty-three years of hotel sales experience. He is a graduate
of LSU where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration in 1988
and was a member of the 1985 SEC Baseball
Champions.
Upon graduating from college, Brett worked in
business transient sales and group sales for seven years with the
732 room Fairmont Hotel in New Orleans where he was eventually
promoted to Associate Director of Sales. He was recruited by ITT
Sheraton to join the 1,110 room Sheraton New Orleans Hotel
where he specialized in the medical meetings market while managing
the small meetings team. When Starwood Hotels & Resorts
purchased Sheraton, Brett was promoted to Director of Group
Sales and successfully led five of his sales teams to National
Hotel Sales Team of the Year recognition over the next twelve
years. He was later promoted to Director of Sales at the
property where his focus became the clustering of Starwood’s sales
assets in the region and the $45 Million renovation of the Sheraton
New Orleans Hotel.
Brett’s in-depth industry knowledge and fundamental
sales skills are instrumental in building long lasting
relationships with nationwide customers. His background in new
business development and community outreach spurn company-wide
business partners. His ability to mentor, train and communicate
with sales associates are the foundation for creating an
award-winning sales culture.
