HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
The Blackstone Hotel was Fort Worth’s
“hotel of distinction” since 1929 until it closed in the 1980s.
Throughout its history, the Blackstone played host to U.S.
Presidents, dignitaries and celebrities. Located in the heart of
downtownon Main Street, the property was an impediment to the
redevelopment of downtown Ft. Worth. Today it is once again open
for business as a Courtyard by Marriott with 5,000 square feet of
retail space and has retaken its position as a destination
hotel. Historic architectural styling include hight ceilings,
large windows and private exterior balconies.
